On Top Of My Head

I remembered my latest scarf when I saw this photo on jakandjil:

It's probably the only animal-printed thing I can ever wear!

New Moon

I'm too tired to compose the usual entry so I'll put my thoughts into two sections, the good and the bad.

The Good:

1. The music! I just don't like the fact that some people will start claiming that they like Lykke Li and Anya Marina... just because they're on the movie's official soundtrack. Ah, when indie goes mainstream.
2. Jacob's abs. 'Nuf said! :))
3. The ending's not the same with the book but it's a great way to keep the audience hanging. Kinda similar to the way Twilight ended, major cliffhanger moment for those who haven't read the series yet.
4. This one's got more continuity compared to Twilight. The pacing's okay too, unlike in the first movie where everything seemed done in a haste.
5. Favorite: Dakota Fanning as Jane. Taob lahat hahaha!

The Bad:
1. Rob Pattinson's acting. Why does he like to eat his words? I couldn't understand much of his lines.
2. The Quilete boys confuse me. They all look the same, with the same facial expressions and even the same built. But hey, all part of the story I guess.

My family and I went to the province to attend to some family matters. We stayed overnight at a hotel though, instead of staying at my maternal grandparents' place. I asked my sister to be my photographer for awhile hahaha. :P

3:31AM

This is me at 3:31 this morning, after two hours of a L'Oreal 4 45 hair dye:

Yes, I can actually still shoot photos of myself without make up. Forgive the quality of the photos, I didn't edit it. And oh, excuse my eyebags too, I haven't been getting enough good sleep. :))

Chef's Table

11.20.09
Dinner at Chef Bruce Lim's place, a class activity for ELECLIT. 1K's super worth it!

Chef Bruce Lim at work with our first course, a soup made up of clam. I wasn't able to take a decent shot of the soup, it wasn't photogenic haha.

Lapu lapu with camote leaves soaked in vinegar from Ilocos. The gravy's made up of monggo beans.

This one's like adobo. I liked the way the meat was cooked 'cause it melts in the mouth.

And my favorite part: dessert! We had this dumpling-like, crepe thing stuffed with mangoes and cinnamon. To die for, I tell you.

Block LR21 represent! Thanks Chef Bruce!

Goalkeeper

I posted a line from a Sara Bareilles song last night, just because it sounded catchy to me. And then it grew into something else:

Ah, the wonders of Facebook. :))

12 units

Coming soon: TH "school week" for me. Saktong sakto sa minimum regular load of 12 units:

Lazy kid? Nahhh. Those are the only subjects I can enroll for next term. Then it'll be another set of 12 units for first term AY'10-'11, then 4.5 for second term and another 4.5 for my last term. Easy load from here on. :)

Under the influence of you

For the win!

Imagine being able to do that hahaha. :P

*I think I got this from followandreblog.tumblr.com...?

Goodies

Latest stash of goodies...

Bought a pair of sexy and somewhat fierce shoes this afternoon. I've been looking high and low for a pair of silver high heels, 'cause I need 'em for next month. Kay helped me in my shoe escapade and picked this pair for me! :)

I got my Belle de Jour 2010 planner over the weekend, after reserving a copy for myself. I am not that excited as compared to the past two years but I went ahead and bought it anyway. I think it's bordering on being a sell out, as the 2009 planner was so readily available for everyone, unlike for the 2007 and 2008 versions when you have to have a reservation in order to get one. I noticed that they went back to the exclusive mode though, so maybe it's scaling back to the reservation rule. Anyway, it's still a pretty planner, one that goes with my personality. I look forward to writing on all the blank pages!

My "feeling Chanel" bag. I can't afford the famous Chanel 2.55 (yet), so I will settle for one that looks similar but not fake. Pwede na!

Sunday

Dinner with mi familia at Cafe Marcello. <3

black cover up from SM, yellow top from SM, cuffed trousers from Penshoppe, shoes from Celine, bag from SM

KitKat Love

KitKat ice cream from Nestle:

There you go again

I would've fallen asleep while listening to the two hour talk on Heidegger and Camus if I wasn't so aware that you were sitting three seats away from me. Crazyyy. I should get over crushing from afar though, 'cause it's a one way street. But yeah, I still think you're cute. And you're probably one of the last decent guys around who's single and straight. So maybe, maybe...

Happy Sick

blazer's a hand-me-down from mom, white tee, leggings and shoes from SM

I've been sick since yesterday and I'm feeling really awful. But today's two good news brought a dose of happiness despite the sniffles and the coughs...

  • I got an advanced enrollment slot courtesy of GMG. This means that I get to enroll ahead of everybody else for the very first time in my college life. It's perfect, 'cause I really want to enroll the frosh gen ed subjects that I left two years ago hahaha. Thank God I was given the slot... not only do I get to pick the subjects that I really want (and need), I also get the chance to have another three-day class sched. Yay!
  • Our final event for EVENTSM isn't scheduled on December 12th! I told my prof about the conflict with my sched, with my aunt's wedding scheduled on the same day. Good thing that there's also a conflict with my prof's own sched, so our class won't be pushing for the 12th.

Good vibes to hopefully cure me ASAP. :))

35.5

4 terms of 35.5 units left in my academic life. This consists of 6 minors, 2 electives, 2 majors, 2 thesis subjects and 1 practicum. Yes, I did the math earlier today, after I picked up my grad photo package and my batch shirt this morning.

It just dawned on me that I'm almost at the end. While half of my Orgcom batch/block are working on their thesis proposals, the other half that includes me are cheering them on. Since they're still on time, they're closer to the finish line. As for me and the others who are destined for 2011, we're just getting ready for what is to come. :)

Killer

I should be running this on the 15th...

...but I told my prof that I won't be able to go, haha. I don't have any training and I haven't been trying, so running 5k in a snap is pretty impossible. Maybe if it were 1k. :))

I'm miles from where you are

Because I'm a sucker for movies that will make me cry and get all kilig. Plus points: helloooo Channing Tatum. :">

Chicas, let's watch this date movie on February! <3

PS. The song playing at the end of the trailer is Set the Fire to the Third Bar and it's sung by Snow Patrol feat. Martha Wainwright. Go download, it's a nice song!

Haute Now

I think this is one of Preview's good issues this year. The cover has this certain feel, it reminds me of a particular Vogue Paris (Vogue Russia?) cover that has the same treatment. I'm looking forward to getting my own copy! :)

Yay and nay!

Tweets during PE, after I spotted him hanging nearby our class:

6:49PM Crush here in sports complex... And I'm in my PE uniform, playing table tennis! Ang galing lang eh. :/

6:58PM This is the only time I'm praying he won't notice me 'cause I look like hell. Craaap, of all the days... Why now?!

I wanted to crawl and hide the whole time! No use in doing that though, 'cause he did see me in my ugly PE uniform. And, just as my luck would have it, he watched my table tennis game! It's way hard to be graceful when you're trying to hit a ping pong ball and even harder to maintain composure when you're thisclose to turning into jelly. FAIL. :))

Sidenote: I later noticed that the table tennis racket that I used during the game had the same number as the number on his football jersey. Uyy, fate? Hahaha.

Old school

Diskette - I remember learning all about it and its parts as a six year old in our school's dusty computer lab.
Cassette tape - First ever tape: Spice Girls!
VHS - We used to rent out VHS tapes on weekends, in the video store nearby. We even had a Video City card hahaha.
Film - My parents feared that I would waste the film, 'cause I didn't know how to load it. Last time I used a film was... six years ago, on our freshman field trip. :P

Stress + Panic

Everytime I'm all stressed out and I need to print out a paper, my printer fails me and decides to do a paper jam right in the middle of my much needed printing session. Even my laptop earlier was having problems too, as I was compiling my group's materials for tomorrow's report on our events plan.

My only question is: how come these gadgets always pick the wrong time to annoy me?

Surprise!

The girl's outfit looks basic and simple: a black top underneath a gray sweatshirt/hoodie. I was a disappointed 'cause she wore this to Paris Fashion Week, where everyone looks all dressed up and is just innately oh-so-chic.

And then I saw this photo showcasing the detail on her back:
And all I can say is ooh, cool! She transformed a boring hoodie into something else by wearing it in a different way. <3

Google Chrome

Trying out Google Chrome! Cee recommended this to me a couple of months back and I decided to try it today haha. I like the themes, it makes it fun!

I might have to say goodbye to IE if I get attached to this one. :P
